Calories In Calories Out

We all know that weight loss is all about the number of calories you consume vs the number of calories you burn.

To lose weight you need to burn more than you consume.

The basic law of thermodynamics isn't it.

However, it isn't just about the calories in-calories out argument.

We use it to prove to people they don't need to be doing some sort of fad bullshit diet that may make them wee out of their bum.

But, what you choose makes the difference.

Weight loss and fat loss isn't the only thing affected by what you put into your mouth.

Blood lipids, Blood pressure, Blood sugar levels, gut health, all these things will have a significant effect on your health and are all affected by what you swallow.

Yes, you can lose weight eating mars bars and ice cream but is it going to be great for you.

Of course not.

So, you need to be consuming a wide variety of foods to enable your body to be getting everything it needs, lots of vegs, lean protein, and decent carbs, then if you are consuming that 80% of the time, it gives you a bit more freedom to have a little bit of what you want without it having a negative impact on your health.

Eating should never just be about losing fat or gaining muscle, your health comes first, the rest is a by-product.

Keep Smiling

Spread the love
